HEALING AT LAST

New Life in Jesus Christ

RECEIVING INNER HEALING BY POWER OF HOLY SPIRIT

Healing from deep emotional wounds is not just an emotional and mental process—it is a spiritual journey with the Lord.

Many of us are burdened from past relational wounding, often from childhood experiences that have shaped sense of identity, choices, and relationships.

These wounds may be invisible, yet every wound affects how we relate to ourself, to others other and with God. If left unhealed, they affect our capacity to discern what is healthy and unhealthy. It may also affect our capacity to trust and receive the love God has for us, which is the foundation for everything.

As we embrace deep inner healing with Jesus, He meets us right where we are, and just as we are. Right there in the places of brokenness and pain. Oh my, it's just so amazing how He does this! He brings profound inner healing, comfort, deliverance, and revelation of the truth of who we are.

In my own personal experience, the Lord has been able to heal things I didn't even know were hidden inside of me.

EXPERIENCING JESUS IN OUR PAIN

A Testimony of a Woman Receiving Inner Healing

"I remember a moment when Jesus personally met me in a place of deep pain. It was a pain that I had dissociated from, but the Lord brought up the memory so He could finally heal it. As a child, I had been told that my father once wished I had been aborted. The memory was buried so deeply that I had forgotten it—but the hurt lingered in my spirit as a quiet sense of rejection. This rejection carried into my adult relationships and never left me. One day after giving my life to Jesus, I allowed myself to receive God's healing and feel the pain fully. I cried for several minutes, letting the emotions flow. And then, His peace came over me like a warm embrace. I felt a peace within that I had never experienced. In that moment, Jesus showed me that He had always been protecting me. He let me know that I am wanted, valuable, and deeply loved by Him. He communicated with me in a way that I could not deny His love and that He made me for a purpose. The healing was gentle, beautiful, and transformative. What was once hidden and unresolved began to dissolve in the light of His presence."

MINISTERING TO THE WOUNDED SOUL

When we minister to others who are dissociating or disconnected from themselves due to trauma, the process begins with compassion, patience, and full reliance on the Holy Spirit.

Many wounds are stored in the soul, often in “frozen” parts that formed at the age of trauma. These wounded parts may react emotionally in ways that feel disproportionate to current situations.

Example: A minor disagreement might trigger a flood of emotion because the heart and the nervous system is responding from an unhealed wound that needs support and healing.

Inner healing helps these parts of the soul finally come out of hiding, and to feel safe and loved by Jesus. “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” (Psalm 147:3) It's real and true!

Many times the Lord is helping us to relax enough so that we can come out of dissociation. Dissociation is a mental and emotional process involving a disconnection between a person's thoughts, memories, feelings, actions, and sense of identity. It acts as a defense mechanism against overwhelming stress or trauma, causing a temporary detachment from reality, such as feeling outside one's body. We experience memory gaps or not remembering much of childhood. While this coping mechanism helps us in overwhelming circumstances, God invites us to surrender these hurts to Him for full healing.

When we allow God into the wounded parts of our soul, we can then be healed and made whole. Inner Healing and support that is led by Holy Spirit is a journey of inviting those tender wounds to come to the surface, where the Lord can finally bring comfort and resolution.

SUPPORT FOR INNER HEALING

Invite the Holy Spirit: Begin with prayer, asking God to come into the situation and reveal His love.

Create a safe space: Allow the wounded parts of the soul to feel seen, loved, and safe.

Recall and release: Gently revisit the painful memories and bring them to Jesus with vulnerability.

Trust His timing: Going slowly, allowing God to heal layer by layer.

Receive His peace: As the healing takes place, let the comfort of the Holy Spirit fill the spaces that were wounded.

Healing is a sacred partnership with Jesus. By surrendering our pain, we open ourselves to His love, restoration, and freedom. Each step toward inner healing strengthens our capacity to love fully, live joyfully, and walk confidently in God’s purpose for our lives.
