DIVE DEEP: HEAL WITH JESUS CHRIST

Diving Deep with Jesus

There is hope for healing and freedom!

When ready to dive deep and embrace a season of inner healing with the Lord,
it can sometimes feel daunting and perhaps you are not sure where to begin the journey.
Give yourself time to be still with the Lord each day.
You may start to journal or do inner inquiry with God, to become more aware of what you are actually healing from.
These questions may support you.

LIFE BEFORE JESUS

How did you experience life before Jesus deeply came into your heart?

What were you were struggling with?

What were your strengths and gifts?

What were your hopes and dreams?

What were your disappointments?

What was the relationship with your mother like?

What was the relationship with your father like?

How did you feel about communication and relational connection?

How did you feel emotionally?

What was your thought life / mental experiences like?

What was your relationship like with your physical body?

Share the moment or period in time when Jesus revealed himself fully to you.

Deep Inner Healing of emotional distress takes time, and is a process.
You may see it like this, to help you begin the journey of processing…

3 PHASE PROCESS OF INNER HEALING

Acknowledging:
Taking time to acknowledge the inner hurts, the blocks, the feelings, the emotions, the disappointments, the pains, the fears, the doubts, the confusing messages you have been told, the heaviness and darkness, the concerns, the worries, etc... It’s important to acknowledge the pain, and not sweep it under the rug or distract yourself from acknowledging hurt.

Being Willing to Be Healed and Transformed:
Devote time to prayerfully release through feeling and expressing it all as this will begin the process of healing and coming into wholeness without fear or shame. You need to be nurtured, protected, delivered, encouraged, supported, and guided in a way that you never were all those years. As you develop this healing relationship with God, you will be met with His skill, empathized with, listened to, cared for, corrected, and redeemed by His Love.

Opening to the New Self that God is Creating:
You will change during this process. It is a life-long journey of transformation, but once you experience how this transformation and healing takes place with JESUS and the power of the HOLY SPIRIT, there will be more experiences of comfort, peace, restoration, joy, confidence, rising in faith, trust, obedience, vulnerability, connection, relationship, support, forgiveness, understanding, patience, care, elevation, purpose, new creation in Christ... And this makes you new! Brand New.

THE WOUNDED SOUL

The soul becomes wounded with trauma.

When things are too overwhelming such as in the midst of abuse, stressful, and fearful situations, we can split off from our main stream of consciousness and “go away” in our minds. This is called “dissociation.” It creates a wounded place in our soul. It usually stays frozen in time at the age of the trauma inception and creates a “folder” or “room” in our temple where the memories and painful emotions are stored.

We can call this wound a hurt part, or a wound, or a dissociative part of the soul. God created our minds to dissociate, but He expects us to give it Him when we get older.

Our coping mechanisms are not as strong as a child so most wounded parts are younger. This creates “childlike behavior” when we are triggered and reacting out of a wounded part of our heart.

You may find yourself having a disproportionate reaction to a situation and your emotional response is irrational for your current age. You could go “0-100” when it should have been a “2” response. This is indicative of a soul wound. When you struggle with this, diving deeper with the Lord can set you free. Inner Healing and Deliverance sets us free from these looping patterns.

Our soul is also referred to as our “heart” ~
Inner Healing is such an integral part of deliverance because the enemy takes advantage of trauma that is stored in our souls.
Unhealed, we remain exploitable by the enemy.
Healed, we are able to face trials with the strength and wisdom given to us by God.

We are instructed to love the Lord with all of our hearts
which means we can love the Lord with less of a whole heart.
We can be double minded which is described perfectly in Romans 7:15 as Paul laments
about the confusion of continuing the behaviors that he hates.

Romans 7:15 Apostle Paul says,
“For I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want,
but I do the very thing I hate.”

Inner Healing and Deliverance supports our souls, cleaning out the woundings and darkness,
coming into more wholeness and light.

Ezekiel 11:19
I will give an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them;
I will remove them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh.

A prayer to support:
Heavenly Father, thank you that you know me so well. You are the one who heals me and helps me transform from within so I can radically love and walk in your wisdom. I need you for my healing journey. I cannot do this on my own. I need you in every way. Please show me where my heart is hardened due to trauma. Please show me where I am still fearful, afraid and scared. Please show me where I am still bitter, angry, and resentful. Please show me where I am still wounded. I am ready to dive deep with you. I will be brave and courageous as I journey with you deeper. I know you and I trust you.
You have rescued me from the pit before, and I know you will always do this for me.
Thank you that you make a road through the wilderness and that you give streams of water here.
You are my living water.
In your mighty name I pray, AMEN.
