WHEN THE SEED DIES NEW LIFE BLOSSOMS

Healing, Growing, and Rising
in Christ Jesus

Dear sister in Christ,

We have walked through so much, haven’t we?

— years of sin, deception, abuse, neglect, exploitation, heartbreak, rejection, betrayal, abandonment, and the deep ache of relational wounds. But through it all, Jesus has never left our side. Now, He is calling us to more than just survival. He is calling us into holy transformation and to live in alignment with His Way. To walk narrow. To walk in His righteous plumb line. To love, to forgive, to share the gospel, and to fulfill His calling.

As He heals us—we are being made brand new.

“I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.
And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”

— Galatians 2:20

This passage isn’t poetic imagery—it is the reality of a new life in Jesus. When we surrender our life to Christ, something powerful happens: the old self, the one shaped by trauma, pain, and worldly survival strategies, is crucified with Him. That self no longer defines us.

But just like healing from trauma is a process, so is learning to live by faith and in this new creation. It may feel difficult at times, but I want to encourage you to keep going and to never give up. The journey is long, as God is a long-story God! You may feel like you are behind, but as long as you stay close to the LORD, you are right on time. He is working on you. He is transforming you. Even when you don’t realize it is happening.

It takes time, grace, and the gentle, yet powerful leading of the Holy Spirit. You can rest and release from the rush the process. Every detail of the journey matters greatly to the LORD.

You do not need to shame yourself when things feel hard. You don’t need to be afraid of the struggles you are facing. You can face them with God’s Power and Wisdom. Your identity and authority in Christ is your new foundation.

It is normal to feel uncertain or scared as you let go of the old and embrace the new.

Jesus understood this process. He taught in John 12:24-26:

“Unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit…”

This image of the seed dying to bear fruit might feel painful—and that’s because death to the old self is painful. But it’s also necessary. If we cling to the identities formed in our brokenness—whether it’s people-pleasing, defensiveness, isolation, control, or unforgiveness—we won’t grow into the new creation God intends for us to be. Like a seed that refuses to go into the soil, we remain alone, undeveloped, and disconnected from purpose.

But when we surrender—when we allow the old self to go into the ground—something miraculous happens.
We begin to bear much fruit.

What kind of fruit?
Living in the Lord’s Peace that isn’t shaken by rejection.
Living in His perfect Love that isn’t rooted in fear but in Trust.
Living in God Confidence that isn’t built on others’ opinions, but confidence in God Himself.
Living in Purpose that flows from identity in Christ, no longer striving to do something or be someone. Just submission and obedience.
Living in the Holy Wisdom to walk in God’s truth and not be swayed by manipulation or deception, pressure or conforming, guilt, fear, survival mode or shame.
Living in the Promises and Purpose of the LORD.

These things come only through a deep inner transformation—a dying to the flesh and rising in the Spirit.

“Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be.
My Father will honor the one who serves me.”

— John 12:26

Following Jesus means letting Him lead.

It means trusting Him when He asks us to release familiar but harmful patterns.

It means obedience, even when it’s uncomfortable.

You may not feel ready yet. But the Lord will prepare your heart. Just remember that transformation begins with submission. Healing leads to freedom, and freedom leads to obedience.

You may wonder, “Why does this matter? Isn’t it enough to just believe?”
Yes, belief is the beginning—but Scripture tells us belief must lead to action:

“Faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.”
— James 2:17

Living by faith means obeying what God reveals. For example, if He shows you that you’ve been avoiding a difficult conversation because of fear, faith means having that conversation in love and truth. If He reveals that you’re staying in a toxic relationship out of comfort or fear of being alone, faith means taking the brave step toward freedom, even if it’s uncomfortable. When He asks you to forgive someone who deeply hurt you, faith means trusting that He will heal your heart as you obey.

Faith isn’t passive. It looks like decisions, steps, and real-life change.

“Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works
and give glory to your Father in heaven.”

— Matthew 5:16

The Transformation is not just for you….

Your transformation is not just for you. It’s for those who will be impacted by the love, truth, hope and light that God gives you to overflow. God is raising you up not just to be whole—but to be fruitful and impactful. You have a calling. There are people who need the healing, wisdom, and encouragement that will flow through your obedience.

So let’s pause now and invite the Holy Spirit into this journey of transformation.
You can pull out your journal and write down the answers to these questions as you spend time with the LORD.

Time with the LORD

Asking the LORD questions, and deeply listening helps to deepen the path of surrender and submission to His Will.

Time in Prayer and Listening

Take time with these questions, and let the Lord speak to your heart. Write down what you hear.

1. “Lord God, show me where I am still living in fleshly responses to life.”
(Examples: reacting with fear, people-pleasing, control, bitterness, self-pity, avoidance.)
→ Write what He shows you.

2. “Lord God, where am I disobeying what You’ve asked me to do?”
(Examples: ignoring His nudge to forgive someone, resisting a call to step out in ministry, remaining in an unhealthy habit.)
→ Write what He shows you.

3. “What am I not doing that You’ve asked me to do?”
(Examples: starting a prayer group, reaching out for mentorship, applying for a new opportunity, setting healthy boundaries.)
→ Write what He reveals.

4. “What am I doing that You’ve asked me NOT to do?”
(Examples: continuing in an ungodly relationship, gossiping, overworking, isolating.)
→ Write down what comes to mind.

These answers are not to bring shame—they are invitations. Invitations to grow, to submit, and to step into the fullness of your destiny.

Now, Let’s Look Forward

Take a few more moments with these questions:

What has the Lord been calling you to do?
Write it down.

What passion or burden has He placed in your heart?
Write it down.

What fears or doubts do you have about this calling?
Be honest and name them.

What support or tools do you need to move forward?
Ask Him, and write it down.

Faith + Obedience = Fruit

Remember: God doesn’t just want to heal you—He wants to work through you. Your purpose is blossoming as you surrender and trust in what He is trying to do through you. Your light will shine brightest through your obedience. Even now, He is shaping you into a woman of impact—one who is whole, bold, fruitful, and faithful. I encourage you to let Him finish the good work He began in you. You are safe in His Will.

You are not too broken.
You are not too late.
You are not too far gone.
You are becoming new—and the world needs what God is doing in you.

Keep walking.
Keep listening.
Keep surrendering.

You are rising in Christ, and the fruit of your life will give glory to God.

With love and courage,
Meisha
