What is Inner Healing with Jesus Christ?
What Is Inner Healing with Jesus?
When the soul is wounded with unhealed pain and trauma of any kind, it is common to experience chronic life difficulty and stagnation. Unhealed wounds can become breeding grounds for sin and deception, opening doors to fear, confusion, and dysfunction. These wounds often show up as relational struggles, isolation, overwhelm, emotional instability, procrastination, or physical symptoms and illness.
Jesus Christ wants to heal. He can restore what trauma has broken. Inner healing is the process of allowing Jesus to minister to the most wounded, forgotten places in your soul. I used to do many self-healing practices, but when I encountered Jesus Christ and gave my life to Him, He showed me what real healing is and how deceived I was when I thought I could heal those woundings myself. Receiving forgiveness for my sin was the first step. And that was powerfully healing in itself.
And Jesus does more than forgive us for our sins. He wants a deep relationship with us. He wants to restore our soul, pouring strength into us because He knows we are weak. God designed us to need Him for everything - including healing.

When we dissociate to survive the trauma—when we “go away” to cope—Jesus waits patiently to help those parts come out of hiding. These hurt parts, or dissociated places, remain stuck in time, frozen and holding pain. But Jesus patiently waits for us to let go and give these pains to Him. He hears the expressions of pain. He holds each of those inner hurts with compassion and care.
Some hurt parts don't want to come out of hiding, but with the intention to be healed in all the hurts places, He is faithful to bring this deep healing about. He brings light and warmth to those hurts and He doesn't rush. He doesn’t shame. He simply shows up and then His loving presence brings relief.
Inner Healing with Jesus Christ is about finally receiving the nurture, truth, and protection of Christ in those places of pain. You don't have to perform for God, because it is about surrendering to Him, which can be hard at times. But with each layer of healing the walls around the heart are cast down. God leads closer to His heart—and closer to the person He created you to be, so you can live with humility, not pride.

If it’s hard to enter into a healing season of deep healing, you can let the Lord know that. "Lord, I am having a hard time please help me!" You may struggle to pause, to slow down, and allow the healing process to unfold because it is painful. But coming out of emotional numbness is about feeling so the healing can take place.

The Process of Healing with Jesus Christ:
1. Acknowledging the Hurt.
Being honest with God about your pain, blocks, fears, doubts, emotions, and sufferings. Your vulnerability is welcomed by the Lord, it is essential as it wipes away pride and self-reliance. He waits for this.
2. Willingness to Be Healed.
Being willing to receive His love paves the way to finally be healed and set free. Be willing to let go of the pain, and see life from the Lord's point of view and what He wants to uniquely show you about every single situation that has harmed. Your willingness to let Jesus into the places you’ve hidden for so long, allows Him to carry the burden. In God's Word it tells us to "cast our worries." Surrendering to His way, so you can rest in His faithful arms. Inviting Him to deliver and transform you, because God won't force Himself upon you.3. Opening to New Life.
Allowing the transformation to occur through surrender. Increasing in trust in the Lord, forgiveness, new Godly understanding, and relinquishing your old identity to embrace your true identity - a new creation is Christ.
(Psalm 63:3) "Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you."
