From Brokenness to Beloved: Discovering Your Identity in Christ

In 2022, my daughter and I both encountered Jesus Christ. After many years of me trying to heal myself, I met the Lord! A few months later, my daughter encountered the Lord herself. We now share the hope for healing, wholeness, security and freedom in Christ Jesus with as many as we can. I pray these writings may support you!

Knowing Who You Are in Christ Changes Everything

One of the greatest gifts Jesus gives us is a new identity.

When healing after relational trauma and spiritual deception, the deepest wounds are often not what happened—but the lies we begin to believe about ourselves, others, and God.

DECEPTIVE FALSE CONDITIONING teaches us to believe we are UNWORTHY.
REJECTION teaches us to believe we are UNWANTED.
ABANDONMENT teaches us we are UNLOVABLE.

But God's voice speaks something entirely different!

When we discover who we are in Christ, we begin to walk in true freedom.
Healing and Restoration by the Lord reveals the Truth.
And HIS TRUTH sets us free!

Our identity is no longer determined by our past, our relationships, our mistakes, or the opinions of other people. It is rooted in the unchanging character of God.

Life changes. Jobs change. Financial circumstances change. Relationships change. But God never changes.

Because He never changes, His love for us never changes. As we accept the Lord into our hearts and our lives, we learn He really does care for us and that we can trust Him with every area of our lives.

He is our New Foundation for Life.

When you know who God says you are, you become firmly established on a foundation that cannot be shaken.

Scripture tells us that through Christ we are children of the Most High God, deeply loved, chosen, accepted, forgiven, redeemed, and made new. We are even seated with Christ in the heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6), living from a place of victory rather than defeat.

If you have been defined by your trauma wounds thus far in your life, there is GOOD NEWS!
God defines you by His love and how He made you. But yo must know the one true living God.

And we can only know that through JESUS CHRIST.

As women begin to renew their minds with God's truth, healing begins to replace fear, shame loses its grip, and confidence grows. The lies of the enemy begin to fall away as the truth of God's Word takes root in the heart.

If you are struggling to believe who you are today, begin speaking God's truth over your life each day.

Declare:

  • I am loved.

  • I am chosen.

  • I am accepted.

  • I am forgiven.

  • I am redeemed.

  • I am God's beloved daughter.

  • I am created in God's image.

  • I am never alone.

  • God is for me and not against me.

  • My past does not define my future.

  • Jesus is making all things new.

Sometimes these words may feel difficult to believe at first. That is okay. Healing is often a journey of replacing old lies with God's eternal truth. As you continue to speak His promises, pray, and invite the Holy Spirit to heal the broken places in your heart, your mind begins to align with what God has always known about you.

And as your identity becomes secure in Christ, something beautiful happens—you begin helping other women discover their identity as well. Your healing becomes a testimony. Your freedom becomes an invitation for others to find freedom.

You are not simply surviving.

You are becoming the woman God created you to be.

A beloved daughter of the King.

Scripture for Reflection

"See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!"

— 1 John 3:1

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away; behold, the new has come."

— 2 Corinthians 5:17

A Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Thank You that my identity is found in You alone. Thank You that I am loved, chosen, accepted, forgiven, and redeemed through Jesus Christ. Help me recognize every lie that has taken root in my heart and replace it with the truth of Your Word.

Renew my mind. Heal every wound left by rejection, abuse, neglect, and betrayal. Teach me to see myself the way You see me. Establish my heart firmly in Your love so that I cannot be shaken by the opinions of others or the circumstances of life.

Help me walk confidently as Your beloved daughter, and may my healing become a light that leads other women to the hope and freedom found in Jesus Christ.

In Jesus' name,
Amen.
