BEING SET FREE FROM TRAUMA
The Need for Inner Healing & Deliverance
After Relational Trauma
Relational trauma often leaves wounds that go far deeper than the surface. When trust has been shattered, where abuse, neglect, or betrayal have marked the soul, the impact can ripple into every part of a person’s life. Many who carry this kind of pain find themselves struggling not only emotionally, but spiritually—wondering who they are, where they belong, and how to feel whole again.
The good news is that the HOLY SPIRIT can heal every one of these woundings. While many of the traumas remain hidden, the HOLY SPIRIT can bring them all out of hiding.
One of the common effects of trauma is Dissociation.
Dissociation may show up as depersonalization, derealization, and identity confusion, which are ways the soul attempts to cope with unbearable pain. These responses may have helped you survive the trauma, but they were never meant to hold you in that dissociated place. God never intended for His children to live fragmented, disconnected, or confused.
God wants to bring your soul into wholeness, peace, and restoration for every part of who you are.
Trauma Fragments, but Jesus Heals
When you have been wounded through unhealthy or abusive relationships, it can feel as though your very identity has been shattered. Dissociation can leave you feeling as though you are “outside yourself.” Depersonalization and derealization distort your sense of reality. Identity confusion can leave you unsure of who you are or where you belong.
But the good news is this: Jesus Christ came to heal the brokenhearted and set the captives free (Luke 4:18). What trauma fragments, He can restore. What has been stolen or distorted, He can bring back into alignment with His truth.
Why Inner Healing and Deliverance Are Needed
Inner healing and deliverance are not quick fixes—they are encounters with the living God that address the root of pain and bondage.
Inner healing invites Jesus into the memories, emotions, and lies that formed during trauma. He brings His loving comfort where there was fear or terror, His truth where there was deception, and His presence where there was abandonment or rejection.
Deliverance addresses the spiritual side of trauma—the oppression, demonic torment, and strongholds that the enemy uses to keep you bound. Through the authority of Christ, chains are broken, demons are cast out and God’s freedom is released.
Together, inner healing and deliverance set you free from soul fragmentation and restored into wholeness. God’s restoration brings the broken parts of your heart and soul that have been disconnected, bringing you back into wholeness and unity with who God who has pre-destined you to be.
Coming Out of Survival Mode
For many survivors of relational trauma, life has been about surviving, not thriving. Dissociation, numbing, or confusion may have felt safer than facing the pain. But as God gently leads you into healing, you no longer need to live in survival mode.
Wholeness means living fully present—with God, with yourself, and with others. It means knowing your true identity as a beloved child of God and walking in the freedom and authority He has given you.
The Path Into Wholeness
Healing is not about trying harder—it is about surrendering deeper. It is allowing the Holy Spirit to touch the places you’ve hidden, numb, or even feared to look at. It is trusting Jesus to be both your Healer and Deliverer.
On this journey, you may:
Learn to recognize and reject lies about your identity.
Invite Jesus into traumatic memories for His healing presence.
Break agreement with fear, shame, or rejection.
Receive inner healing and deliverance from spiritual oppression tied to the trauma.
Discover a renewed sense of peace, clarity, and connection.

A Prayer for You
Lord Jesus, I bring every wounded and fragmented part of myself before You. Where trauma has left me feeling disconnected, confused, or lost, I invite You to bring Your healing. I renounce every lie of the enemy, every stronghold of fear, shame, and rejection. I receive Your truth, Your love, and Your freedom.
Make me whole in You, Lord, and lead me to walk in my true identity
as a beloved child of God.
Amen.
