THE DEATH THAT BRINGS LIFE
🌿 Becoming New 🌿
When we have experienced years of relational dysfunction, abuse, neglect, manipulation, control, ridicule, mockery and cruelty, we have a journey of deep inner healing and recovery ahead of us.
It is easy to slip into thoughts like, “What is wrong with me?” and also “Why me?”
But our very real pain is not beyond the reach of God’s healing. His hand reaches down to us and lifts us up into His holy restoration.
The LORD invites us into His surrender so we can finally receive the Love we have never experienced before. His love and the Truth of God reshapes us from the inside out.
His Word in Galatians 2:20 declares this truth:
“I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me…”
When we say “yes” to Jesus, the old us — the one that has been shaped by trauma, fear, self-protection, and false identity — begins to pass away. The LORD can heal our soul woundings, one at a time. It’s often painful, difficult, and it requires us to slow down and feel so He can heal us at the root. You are a courageous one if you choose this. This healing and deliverance, pruning and preparing, is sanctification. By the Holy Spirit.
And a new life, a Spirit-filled life, begins. Our new life is not based on our strength, but on Christ living in us.
This process of becoming new unfolds over time.
It requires love, grace, and patience — especially with ourselves and with the Lord.
.
The Holy Spirit teaches and guides us how to submit to God’s way, and through that surrender, He transforms each of us from deep within.
In John 12:24-26, Jesus uses the image of a grain of wheat falling to the ground to describe this sacred process. Unless the seed dies, it cannot become the fruitful plant it was meant to be. The old form must go underground and dissolve so that new life can spring forth.
Transformation requires a death of old self
God Births the new, real, true identity
This might feel scary at first. I understand that. Sometimes I feel the same. But I remind myself: the Holy Spirit knows the way. He knows the outcome. My job is to stay close to Him, to trust Him, and to let Him carry me through the process. It’s hard, difficult and awkward, but we do not have be ashamed or afraid of this process. It is a holy process.
One faithful step at a time.
You might not feel ready for this kind of surrender yet. Your path may be a slow one. Jesus is patient. He knows the exact pace you need. As He heals the wounds of the past, and as your past begins to lose its power to define you, you’ll find yourself ready to lay more down, and rise more fully into the life He has for you.
I want to encourage you to follow Him closely. If you notice yourself straying and doing things your own way, pause. Slow down. Breathe. And re-connect to the LORD. Ask Him for direction on everything because His ways are higher and He knows the way.
Do what He says, even if it’s small.
Let Him show you what needs to go, and what needs to grow.
Your purpose, your path, and your destiny are directly connected to this daily, humble surrender.
PRAYERS TO THE LORD
🕊️ “Lord, show me where I’m still responding from the flesh, and not from Your Spirit.”
🕊️ “Lord, where am I disobeying what You’ve gently asked me to do?”
🕊️ “What am I not doing that You’ve called me to do?”
🕊️ “What am I still holding onto, even though You’ve asked me to let it go?”
Write down what He reveals. Bring it into the light. And know this: you are not alone in this transformation. We are here to support you, to pray with you, and to walk with you through each Foot Step you take into wholeness. We are a community of women who heal and recover together, do spiritual warfare together, and encourage one another through accountability and sharpening, as iron sharpens iron!
You may ask yourself:
What has the Lord been calling me to do?
What has He been stirring in my heart lately?
What are the fears or doubts I have about stepping into this calling?
What support do I need to move forward?
We were created to shine — not with the false light of self-effort, but with the radiant light of Christ living inside of us.
As Jesus said in Matthew 5:16:
“Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”
This shining happens as you walk in both faith and action. James 2 reminds us that faith without works is dead. Healing faith moves. It takes steps. Even small steps matter when they’re in obedience to Jesus. As you walk forward, you will become a living testimony of His grace, His goodness, and His glory.
We are TRULY becoming who Christ created us to be — bold, healed, radiant, and fruitful.
We have been crucified with Christ… and now, He lives in us.
We let His life rise in us.
